James Cagney was one of Hollywood’s most beloved male actors. He played a myriad of eclectic roles across his long career, though he was best known for his ability to play the tough guy in 1930’s and 40’s gangster films such as The Public Enemy, Taxi!, Angels with Dirty Faces and White Heat. Alongside villains, Cagney also played many a detective and was known for his sharp, dapper appearance.
